Digital Glider Made Out Of Recycled Materials - Summer Learning Journey Day 28.

 Kia Ora/Hello,

Today for our first activity, we had to make a glider out of recycled materials, I choose to do mine digitally because then you have access to any material you want and because I couldn't find any cardboard around my house! I enjoyed this activity because it was really fun to do and because I love to craft and make stuff! What I found difficult was trying to find the right shape for the wings. I got inspired by those planes that fly up in the sky. 

I like how it turned out but I do have to say, I thought it might've turned out better! I watched a video about a guy making a glider that actually flies out of paper and a skewer! Here is the video link if you wanna make your own at home! Click Here. 

I made a google drawing and I added the materials I looking forward to add which was cardboard and a skewer, I think anyone can make this at home but I especially wanted to do it digitally! The questions are . . .

I enjoyed doing these activities throughout the holidays they are so fun and i learnt a lot of cool facts and stuff i didn't know about.❤

What activity is my favourite?: Definitely the book cover one it was so much fun decorating a book cover!

Royal Family Dance Summer Learning Journey:

Royal Family Dance Judging in my opinion..
What did they do well?: I like how they were confident walking up to the front of the stage doing a dance alone while the other group was at the back, i would never, ever have enough confidence to walk up there in a crowd.

What do they need to work on?: I personally think its a amazing unique dance i have to say but some people were out of time or kinda late to the next move but.. You can hardly notice! i just noticed that.

Overall it's a great dance i loved how they were so confident and they came 1st place they must be so proud like i am!

Similarities: Well, there is nothing much both of them are on the wall maybe? and they might of used some of the same paint to make colours or so?

Differences: well it's pretty obvious cause they are a different scene/ style of art you can tell what one has more details and way, way different colours one looks more on the dark side and the other one looks like a cool vibe piece of art!

Well it's not what i thought it would look like but i tried and that's all what matters! A tapa looks like a maori creation which looks like hat or something, For some reason one made me thought of a scarecrow

2 Brand Names Summer Learning Journey:

27 Brand Names and also how they got their name:
1. Deadly Ponies.

How did they get the name?: Renowned handbag company Deadly Ponies is the brainchild of New Zealand designer Liam Bowden. But the brands unique name was not Bowden thought of himself. Deadly Ponies originated from a friend at university. "I wore these slippers which peoplethiught were made out of pony as they had a long hair, but were really made from a goat hide." Bowden said. The nickname Deadly Ponies stuck and flowed into the brand name. Deadly Goats doesn't quite have the same ring to it.

2. Allbirds.

How did they get the name?: Former All White turned entrepreneur Tim Brown launched innovative footwear company Allbirds back in 2014. Brown said the name ode to New Zealand. "When people first settled in New Zealand (NZ) , there were no mammals on the island, just birds. It's also a reference to our sustainable mission. Birds are a great predictor of environmental health and well being , so when the birds are thriving , it's a good sign that an ecosystem is doing well" Brown said. "As a brand that uses sustainable materials and draws inspiration from New Zealand's incredible natural environment and birdlife, It was important for us to choose a name that communicates that to our customers."

My morning recount translated.

English:  First off i just had to wake up to drop my brother off at school. We drove home in the shining sun eagerly waiting to get home. When wee came back i just played on my mum's phone. Hours went by and i forgot my breakfast! i stumbled into the kitchen and took my 4 pieces of toast and eagerly put them in the toaster and topped them off with some bread spread. 

Shakespearean English:  First off i just hadst to waketh up to dropeth mine own broth'r off at school.  We did drive home in the shining travelling lamp eag'rly waiting to receiveth home.  At which hour wee cameth backeth i just did play on mine own mum's phoneth.  Hours wenteth by and i f'rgot mine own breakfast! i stumbl'd into the kitchen and tooketh mine own 4 pieces of toast and eag'rly putteth those folk in the toast'r and topp'd those folk off with some bread did spread
