Exploring Equipment - Summer Learning Journey.

Today for our Nanogirl challenge I decided to use something that she used as an example to make something. I saw she had some tomato cans so I got a finished milo can, and turned it into a pen cup.

What I used:

Milo Can

Paper

Felts

Scissors

Glue

I got the milo can and some paper, I cut the right size out of the paper and decorated the paper and glued it in so it looks fun and colourful. What I liked about this activity was because it was fun and didn't take as long as I imagined and it's very helpful if you have spare pens lying around, it's not as good but it's more helpful than it looks. Here is what I made:

  1. Kia ora Manvi,
I like the way your colours blend in together on your pen holder. I agree it is useful and I think it is beautiful too. Could you add an image with pens in it as well? It would show the size of it better.

  2. Kia Ora Manvi,

My name is Zana and I am a blog commenter from the Summer Learning Journey.

I enjoy seeing all the creative items you can make out of materials you are finding around yourself. This pen holder looks awesome and I really like the yellow cover. It looks like it's almost a tye dye pattern and now you have a pencil case and a pen holder!

Just another reminder not to use up all your materials as you need to save the ones mentioned in Nano Girls activity to use in her next activity posted next monday!

Keep up the great work and I hope to see more of your posts over the summer.

    Ngā mihi nui,

    2. Hi Manvi,
I have been doing a lot of painting these holidays and have been using air drying clay to make little bowls for jewellery! Keep sharing all your cool artistic creations!

  3. Morena Manvi,

I am also doing the Summer Learning Journey. My name is Maddison and I am from Waikowhai Primary School.

You surprised me with your creation. I like how you upcycled a Milo tin into something useful for you. I remember making musical instruments with old tins and bottles.
    Have you upcycled anything else?

    Awesome blogging

Thank you for commenting on my blog. Making musical instruments must of been very fun. I have upcycled quite a lot of things during the first weeks of the holidays. What else have you been making?
