Exploring Equipment - Summer Learning Journey Day 2.

For my 3rd / last activity for the day, we had to explore in our house and try find old things that we could build or make something of. For me I used some of my old leggings and made this little pocket thing so you could put stuff in it or like stick it on your door. I was going to make it a purse with straps but the glue I was using wasn't really good.

What I used:

Scissors

Old clothing

Glue.

It was pretty easy and fun because it's really helpful to put stuff in. The only thing I found hard was to cut out the shape since some scissors don't work well on fabric. Have you ever made something out of old clothing?

Here is what I made!

  1. Kia Ora Manvi,

My name is Zana and I am a blog commenter from the Summer Learning Journey.

This is a super awesome and creative way to upcycle your old clothing that you don't use into something new! Your pocket looks well made, what sort of things are you going to put in it? You could use it as a pencil case maybe!

I am wondering which activity this post is for, is it the first Nano Girl post? If it is, could you please double check the instructions for the Nano Girl activity as there are some materials you would need to collect to use in the next series of NanoGirl activities! Nevertheless this was a great post!

I have actually made quite a few things out of old clothing and household items, I like to make old pants into shorts or skirts and I like to use old mugs and cups as plant holders!

Keep up the great work and I hope to see more of your posts over the summer.

    Ngā mihi nui,

    1. Kia Ora Zana,
Thank you for commenting on my blog.
I am most definitely going to be using it as a pencil case since I've got many spare pens lying around!
I was planning to make something out of the materials Nanogirl had lying out as an example and then post it on my blog.
I think having mugs or cups as a plant holder is an excellent idea.
