Optical Illusion Art - Summer Learning Journey Day 3.

Today for my last activity we had to draw an optical illusion. I drew one which looks like a tunnel of some sort and its going down. Optical illusions look really amazing and eye catching for art because it's the way their drawn. What I liked about this was that some of them are really easy to make like the one I have.

You also don't need to buy anything for most of them because most of the time you only need a pencil and paper!

They are really fun to do, it looks very smudged but it looks so trippy and cool to look at once you start to see it! Here is what I made:

  1. Kia Ora Manvi,

My name is Zana and I am a blog commenter from the Summer Learning Journey.

I find optical illusions really fascinating as they are 2D shapes drawn to look 3D. I thought you did an awesome job and that your shading looks great.

I find that to draw optical illusions it is easier if you use a ruler to make all the lines look sharp and use coloured pencils to add shading, like using a bright red for the surface and a dark red for the shadows.

To step up your work to the next level you could include a screencastify showing how other people can make their own optical illusions.

Keep up the great work and I hope to see more of your posts over the summer.

    Ngā mihi nui,
    Zana Yates

    1. Kia ora Zana,
Thank you for commenting on my blog.
Using a ruler would've been very easier but my pencil smudged half way while drawing. I will also try to make a screencastify to explain how I did it and why I choose that one.
