Dolphin Reading Slides - Activity.

Today we were learning about different types of dolphins, My favourite was probably the Bottlenose dolphin.
I enjoyed doing these slides everyday, We had to do two activities from these slides every single day.
What I found tricky was some slides but especially the one where you had to Analyse Organise Information.
My digital learning object shows that I can write different facts about dolphins and analyse information about them.
Next time I would write about only one dolphin and add many facts about it.

Birthday with Friends - Recount.

Today we were learning how to use different sentence starters and more verbs.
I enjoyed thinking and writing about the topic I chose.
What I found challenging was trying to use verbs that made sense with the sentence.
My digital learning object shows I am getting better at using sentence starters that are different from the others.
Next time I  would change the topic and make the story longer.

Birthday with Friends!
Early morning with fog in the distance of the road, walking to the car with a trail of mist following on, Chatting and laughing with a group of friends. My stomach churns furiously in hunger of the crisp, crunchy popcorn awaiting to be eaten. The loud movie next door echoed whenever it made a sound. Clicking a fidgeting with the stuffed animal machine in eager to win a prize, Bickering over who gets to go first in the arcade. The long movie so funny and interesting, Trying not to laugh and disappoint other watchers. The sun was so hot and bright not allowing me to open my eyes. The long walk to McDonalds along with the present opening, The nicest lunch everyone was craving. Playing hide and seek being cramped up in a corner of a shop and very determined to win. The day ended by singing Happy Birthday.

I enjoyed making my plan and writing the whole story by doing something different.
What I found challenging was to try make some nice verbs that made sense.
My digital learning object shows I am getting better at using different sentence starters and juicy verbs.
Next time I would change the topic to a birthday or a holiday season.

Beach Day.
It was early lunchtime at the bitter, cold beach, Running, I was chatting on the crisp cold sticking sand. The scorching sun and the bitter, gentle wind whirled around my legs giving me goosebumps. People chatted, Barbeque’s sizzled sausages till they were scorching hot. Walking on the wet concrete road, Sand dropped off my soggy towel.

On the way home, I saw mountain sceneries and busy bees collecting pollen from the vibrant, aromatic flowers.

Yucky Bugs!

Did you know that a Spider has 8 legs not 6?
Like most insects or bug have antennas Spiders don't!
Did you also know that there is at least one Spider in every continent except for Antarctica.
Did you know that Spider's have a scientific name called Araneae.
This is my picture of my drawing of a spider, It looks very faint and kinda light in the photo but its really pigmented with dark black in real life:

Mrs. Aperahama's Missing Sweets!

Mrs Aperahama discovers that a teacher has taken her prize stash of sweet treats!

Clues
A witness claims to have seen a teacher dropping a pile of chocolate wrappers in the bin.

Suspects
Miss Hickling
Mrs B

Miss McGuigan

Success Criteria:
1. Use detailed words and be specific. 😁😁😁
2. Make a picture in your reader's head. 😁😁

This all started during one day which was an amusement Friday or should I say Fri-YAY!?
But something suspicious has been going on in the staff room… Mrs. Aperahama has lost all of her chewy APPETIZING, MOUTHWATERING TREATS! The suspects are Miss Hickling, Mrs. B or Miss McGuigan!
Let's start this story..
At morning tea, Mrs. Aperahama wanted some toffee’s.. She looks over and sees there's none in her little hole compartment!! She looks there.. There.. And there.. And here.. NOWHERE TO BE SEEN. Then she sees.. Wait who is that? Their back is turned.. MISS HICKLING! Mrs. Aperahama storms over to her as if she were a child who didn't wanna share her toy with someone else who stole it. “How could you?! YOU STOLE MY CANDY WHY MISS HICKLING WHY! I WAS WAITING TO EAT THOSE SINCE FOREVER!” “what.. But I just saw them on the counter?” She was acting suspicious because she wasn't leaving the bin until Mrs. Aperahama did. Mrs. Aperahama marched out the staff room and saw Manvi and Leyla around, She asked if they knew and THEY DID! Question by question by question by Mrs. Aperahama. Leyla said it wasn't Mrs. Hickling, Manvi said it wasn't Miss B….. MISS MCGUIGAN! We found the principal and questioned a whole heap. “Did you steal the treats!?” “Do you know who stole them?” blah blah blah even more questions followed by. Manvi and Leyla sneaked all the suspects when lunch was over, they knew they would get in a bit of trouble but… THEY NEED TO GET THOSE SWEET TREATS! Oh and the thief. They went into the haul and then it started pouring with rain, “Uhh this is kinda creepy.” said Mrs. B “Y-yeah it's so dark and c-c-cold..” said Mrs. Aperahama. “Well well, who's first?” “uh- … psst Leyla what do I say?” “Nothing! I'll do it agh..” “Okay.. well SORRY THAT I DON'T KNOW HOW TO BE A- UM UMM NEVERMIND!” Manvi then sooner stormed off and left it to Leyla. “WHO WAS IT! CONFESS YOURSELF NOW” Nobody answered but just looked at each other and laughed. Leyla lost it and stormed off to her class. The secret was.. All of the teachers were playing a prank on Mrs.Aperahama and till now she still doesn't know about it.. The teachers confessed with Mrs. Aperahama and all Mrs. Aperahama cared about was WHERE WAS THE CANDY!? So they lead Mrs. Aperahama entered Miss McGuigan’s office and there it was.. Everybody shrugged it off with an angry face, to a frown.. A smile AND A BIG LAUGH!

Flappy Bird - Reading/Coding.

Today we were learning how to make our own coding game.
I enjoyed making my game but sometimes it was VERY confusing.
What I found challenging was to put the commands in the right place lined up.
My digital learning object shows I am getting better at coding and making games.
Next time I would change maybe a different scene and more. Also maybe check to see if its good enough (I wasnt quite sure about this one.)
Here's the link to my game: https://studio.code.org/c/1137595230

Crack The Code Maths!

Today I was learning coding and maths at the same time.
I enjoyed figuring out the word one were it says "Rabbits Love Liquorice".
I found it challenging to work out the key one, At first I was like "What.. I don't get it!" But i eventually got it and that's what mattered!
Next time I would change the maths questions to maybe times table to challenge myself and try something new.

My Waste Aoeteroa Poster - Never refuse to reuse!

Today we were learning about enviroschools and about how to reduce, reuse, recycle and repurpose.
I enjoyed making this cause I feel it actually encourages people to do it and some people might while seeing this.
I found it challenging to find good slogans to persuade people to think that "Ah yes, thats a good example I might start reusing now!"
My digital learning object shows we are an enviroschools and I can make a poster all about Reusing.
Next time I would change the topic, Like not on all of them but just on one, example: recycling or reducing.

Binary Cards - Binary Code.

Today we went to a site called Binary Cards - Computer Science.
Our job was to make the number 45, At first I didn't quite get it but then I got the hang of it. What I did was I got the number 32 + 8 + 4 + 1 = 45! Here's my screenshot:
