Te Reo Maori Ice Cream - Summer Learning Journey Day 17.

Today for our 1st activity we had to do some slides with different activities. I found nothing hard expect guessing what the words might be when we had to listen to a audio of someone saying something in Maori and we had to write what we thought they were saying. The next thing we had to do was make a poster of all the ice cream flavours we learnt in Maori. (My poster is on slide 8).

I enjoyed this activity because it put your mind to the test because you had to listen very carefully on what they were saying. I learnt a new flavour in Maori, Pihikete me te Kirimi. Which is Cookies and Cream In Maori!

Here is my google slide and poster:

  1. Kia Ora Manvi,

My name is Zana and I am a blog commenter from the Summer Learning Journey.

I really enjoy these activities because I think it is important for everyone to learn and practice their Te Reo Māori. Are you able to include the activity slides in this post so I can see your work.

I really enjoyed your poster and good job for stepping it up and making one, I thought it was great that you had both the English and Te Reo Māori translations. Have you had a look at scratch? It is linked in the activity description, it will allow you to animate your image.

What was your favorite part of this activity and why?

Keep up the great work and I hope to see more of your posts over the summer.

    Ngā mihi nui,
    Zana Yates

    1. Kia Ora Zana,
Thank you for commenting on my blog.
I will try to add my activity slides in when I can. I haven't had a look at the scratch activity but I will surely try it out.
My favourite part was making the poster, it was really fun and I learnt something new as well. What words do you know in Maori?
      Ma Te Wa,
      Manvi.
