Whina Cooper Summer Learning Journey:

Kate Sheppard is the current woman on the 10 dollar note, we got asked to find another famous NZ woman and tell people why we would have her image on the 10 dollar note.

Mine: Whina Cooper.

Why i had chosen her?: Dame Whina Cooper was a respected kuia who worked many years for the rights of her people and particularly to improve many Māori woman.

    What a cool idea to have Whina Cooper on the New Zealand $10 note, I think that she is so cool! She is definitely a woman full of courage.

    I think that it is awesome how you choose some who stands up for Māori people and rights! I think that the Māori language, culture and people are very important to the history of our country!

    I like how you added a photo to your blog post! Don’t forget to attribute them!
